Write in English, Why Not?

by Tata Danamihardja

Yes, just write in English, even if you're not an English speaking person. Why? Because we have to admit that a lot of people in the world speak English more than any other language. Considering this, any idea written in English will be much more 'readable'. Imagine that your ideas spread out wider compared with those written in 'local' language. Isn't that nice?

Of course it's not easy actually to express what we got in mind in a foreign language. For those whose English is not their mother tongue, there will be some obstacles that are simplified into 4 points:

  • lack of vocabulary
  • afraid of making mistakes
  • not sure if anybody will read what we write
  • feel comfortable with our 'status quo'

Now let's see if these are real obstacles or just our imaginative shield to stay safe without having to try something new.

Lack of vocabulary

This is natural because we are obviously not English speaking person. If you are an Indonesian but you don't speak Bahasa Indonesia, there must be something wrong with you. If you are Indonesian, speak a little bit English with limited vocabulary, that's a very good point to start writing in English. All you have to do is improving your vocabulary and it's not as hard as you thought. Learn a lot, read a lot, write a lot. Practice.

Afraid of Making Mistake

Tell me who has never made mistakes? It is one of many ways to learn something new. Look at the baby who is trying to walk. They never think of falling even they fall again and again. Focus on what you want to achieve and do that. Never be afraid of something uncertain and maybe only exist in your imagination. Even when you finally do some mistakes, you won't be killed and you can still learn from your mistakes.

Who Will Read My Article?

Believe me that there are many people out there who want to read your article. At least people who know you will be curious to read. Let say that you write a bad article. People at least will read your first line and we still can call him/her our reader. In some cases, people are often curious to prove how bad your article is by reading until the last word. What I want to say here is there's no need to ask such a pessimistic question. Be sure that your article will be read by someone, at least the editor :-) Just take it easy!

Feel Comfortable With Our 'Status Quo'

Now back to your childhood. Remember that everything was comfortable. Mom, Dad, and everybody in the family served you. But you didn't just stay enjoying your easy life. You even learned a lot. You tried to walk yourself though you fell many times. So many things you learned with trial and error until you finally reached what you want. If you are now afraid of trying something new, then you are the real loser even in a baby's eyes.

So, why don't you try to be 'the real' you? Write down your ideas in English to get more readers. Don't just be satisfied by having many 'local' readers now. Try something new. Get more 'international' readers and let your ideas spread out all over the world. This is serious challenge. Do you have a brave to answer this challenge?

Create Your Own E-book Using Google and Ebay

By Liane Bate

Have you been working at an online business for a while now, and thinking of creating a product of your own that you can sell online to make extra money? Well, have I got the solution for you! E-books are becoming one of the most popular selling information products online today, and you can use Google and Ebay to help you create your very own digital product!

If the thought of writing an e-book seems a daunting task to you, it's really not as difficult as it seems. If you are already educated in internet marketing and know what writing original articles can do for your business and search engine ranking, then you are already most of the way there. Even if you know little about internet marketing and just like to write, you have a good chance of creating a good downloadable product that you can sell online.

The trick to writing an e-book that will sell is to know what people's problems are. This doesn't mean you need to be a psychologist! It simply means that you need an awareness of what people are asking for online that they need help with and want to find a solution for. People will buy from you when they know you have defined a problem they are having, and offer a solution to that problem.

What can Google and Ebay do to help you write this problem-defining and problem-solving e-book that will sell like hot cakes you ask? The answer is that Google and Ebay are excellent research tools that you can tap into to find out what people are having problems with. It's very important to use these free tools because if you start writing away about a topic that has little relevance to what people are looking for online then chances are your product won't sell.
Keep in mind too that the other trick to making a best-selling e-book is to know about and love your chosen topic. You will find it much easier to write a lot about a topic you are truly interested in rather than trying to write about something you know nothing about. You want to share your expertise and personal experiences about a topic, not your fake attempt to appeal to people's emotions just so they will buy your product.

So once you find a topic you love and know about, you can go to Ebay and start doing your research. What do I mean by "doing your research"? By this I mean you want to know what people are looking to buy on Ebay. Let's say you love hiking in the mountains. Go to Ebay and type in "hiking", or "hiking boots", or "hiking backpacks", for example. Find out what gets a lot of people's interest, as indicated by the number in the search results. Look at the listings to see what people are bidding on. This will give you an idea if your topic is worth writing an e-book about or not. Do the same in Google by typing in some search terms related to your topic to see if you can find the problems people want answers to, and if you feel you can write a lot about that yourself.

It's very good practice to get into the habit of using a good keyword research tool, such as the one offered at SEO Book. Once you have a good topic, you also want to target the keywords people are searching for in the search engines. With a keyword research tool you will find out which keywords are worth targeting. Most people think to use the keywords with the most searches, however, you want to target keywords that do get searched, but not the most frequently so that you can get to the top of the search engine listings with your effective keywords. These will be keywords searched maybe 5000-10000 times per month or thereabouts in Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

The great thing about having been involved in internet marketing before is that you have probably already written a few articles to promote your business online. If this is the case, you can compile your articles into an e-book without having to write anything extra! E-books don't have to be long! Or if you write about your experiences and can share your knowledge about your climb to Everest's base camp, then just compile your notes into an e-book with very little extra effort!

Finally, you can use Google and Ebay not only for research purposes, but after you've written your e-book, you can then offer it for sale on Ebay, advertise it using Google Adwords perhaps, watch your e-book rise to the top of the search engine listings, and grin happily as the sales start coming in!

Google Adsense Tips

By Tom Oki

Google Adsense is one of the easiest and most popular ways to monetize a website. I have used Adsense myself on several of my websites, and have made decent money doing so. For those of you who are not familiar with Adsense, it is simply an ad serving program run by Google. By pasting some code on your site, ads will be run on your site automatically, and you will make money for each click you generate. It’s easy enough to set up, but how exactly can you make the most of your Adsense ads?

Here are some Google Adsense tips to help your ads perform better:

1. Integrate the ads into your site as much as possible
Try using colors for you links that are similar to the colors on your site. And make sure you turn off the ad borders as well. You want your ads to look like ordinary links as much as possible.

2. Position ads toward the top
Here is a somewhat obvious Google Adsense tip: prominently placed ads results in better click-throughs. So don’t be shy and place your ads toward the top of the page, even if that seems too overt too you.

3. Don’t try to outsmart Google
Another obvious Google Adsense tip is to not get too clever in your efforts to generate clicks. Never click your own ads or try to cheat the system by hiring others to click your ads. Don’t use software to generate false clicks either. Google will eventually catch you, and your account will be closed.

4. Target keywords
Hopefully, if you set up your pages correctly, they are targeting certain keywords. These will usually be the same keywords to which your ads are targeted. Try to keep keyword density in the 2 – 5% range.

5. Test different ad formats
My final Google Adsense tip is to test different ad formats and colors. You’ll be amazed at how much you can improve your bottom line by testing different size ads in different places, with different colors.

There are of course tons of other Google Adsense tips, but these are the main ones that I have found useful in my own advertising campaigns. Try them out, and you may discover to your surprise that you can often improve ad click-throughs by 20% or more by making some rather simple changes.

You can learn a lot more about how to make money with adsense here.

How to Write an Effective Author's Box

by: Tata Danamihardja

Author's Box is a short description at the end of an article. This is a great tool to promote your site or blog address, or even just your email address. I you do run a business, just imagine this as the gate to your business. Or let's think about simple but attractive display of your shop.

When people see an interesting or attractive display, at least he/she will stop for a while to enjoy the sight. Next possibility is he/she will enter your shop to find out if  the real stuffs you sell are as attractive as what displayed on your shop's window. If your visitors are satisfied with what they find, they will probably make a business deal with you. If this happen repeatedly, it means that your business is running well.

Author's box has almost the same function with display in a store. It shouldn't be fancy, but it SHOULD be interesting. Use active sentence(s) with simple words so that it will be easier to understand. Remember, this is not a poem contest :-)

If you submit your article to an article resources website such as EzineArticles.com, there's a great possibility that your article will be republished by unlimited number websites or even other article resources publishers. Of course your author's box containing your link will be republished too.

So, don't forget to put a link to your blog or  website on the author's box.. Just write down your link as it is. I mean, if your link is http://moneysucker.co.nr just write down like that. Don't write Click here with a link put under these words. Why? Because we never know if someone who want to republish our article has much time to copy and paste it into his/her html editor. There is always possibility that he/she just copy and paste it into text editor such as notepad. If you only write down a click-here with link under those words, your link will never be shown at all when your article is republished.

What does it mean? You have just lost your invaluable key to add traffic to your website.

Be The Pioneer, Be Agloco Member, For Free

I recently joined AGLOCO because of a friend recommended it to me. I am now promoting it to you because I like the idea and I want you to share in what I think will be an exciting new Internet concept.

AGLOCO's story is simple:

Do you realize how valuable you are? Advertisers, search providers and online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf.  How much of that money are you making? NONE!

AGLOCO thinks you deserve a piece of the action.

AGLOCO collects money from those companies on behalf of its members. (For example, Google currently pays AOL 10 cents for every Google search by an AOL user. And Google still has enough profit to pay $1.6 billion dollars for YouTube, an 18-month old site full of content that YouTube's users did not get paid for!

AGLOCO will work to get its Members their share of this and more.

AGLOCO is building a new form of online community that they call an Economic Network. They are not only paying Members their fair share, but they're building a community that will generate the kind of fortune that YouTube made. But instead of that wealth making only a few people rich, the entire community will get its share.

What's the catch? No catch - no spyware, no pop-ups and no spam - membership and software are free and AGLOCO is 100% member owned. Privacy is a core value and AGLOCO never sells or rents member information.

So do both of us a favor: Sign up for AGLOCO right now! If you use the link below to sign up, I automatically get credit for referring you and helping to build AGLOCO. http://www.agloco.com/r/BBBT7703 When you finally sign up, you may do the same to get credit for referring others. But remember, no spam or you'll be banned!

Anyway, I'm waiting for Agloco Toolbar next month. Are you?

The Long-lost "Ancient Secret" to Success

By P.G. Wesu

The ancient secret to success is embodied in what is called the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that appeared on various lists of late antiquity.

Can you list all of the Wonders or name at least one them? No?

The original seven Wonders, notable objects if you will, were built between 3,000 B.C. and 476 A.D. It was the Greeks who originated the idea of making a list of notable objects. But in order to qualify for the list the object had to fulfill two criteria:
  1. It had to be created (built) by humans… not gods.
  2. It had to be of great size, that is, monumental.
But the Romans, who followed the Greeks, granted credibility to the list by suggesting that it only include beautiful, colossal, and memorable objects that travelers would regard with awe.

The oldest and best preserved of all the ancient Wonders are the Egyptian Pyramids which were built as tombs for the pharaohs.
One of the largest pyramids which stands 450 feet high and occupies 13 square acres at the base is the Great Pyramid. It took decades and thousands of workers, equaling an enormous amount of work-hours, to build.

The other members of the Magnificent Seven were: the Hanging Gardens of Babylon; the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus; the statue of Zeus; the Mausoleum at Halicarnusus; the Lighthouse at Alexandria; and the Colossus of Rhodes. All these structures were built by hundreds, sometimes thousands of men laboring for thousands of hours.

The Eighth Wonder of the World

What principle had these ancient civilizations mastered to succeed in building such colossal structures? Or is it a long-lost secret?

In fact, Albert Einstein, who knew something about mathematics, referred to it as the "Eighth Wonder of the World."

Do you care to hazard a guess what it is?

I can tell you, if this principle had not been used these Wonders would have never been built. Its power works the same way today as it has been for thousands of years.

The secret?

MULTIPLICATION….
  • The ancients knew the secret to any successful endeavor…
  • They multiplied their efforts…
  • Done not by them but for them!
This principle teaches you never to underestimate the value of little efforts magnified by multiplication – the "ancient secret" to success.

About the author: P.G. Wesu is a broker consultant in the cash flow industry.
Take a personal tour to see how you can harness the awesome power of multiplication and put yourself on the path towards success… http://proof.sitesell.com/closesales.html

Adsense Authors: Who Are These People?

By Christopher Knight

Adsense is a program designed by Google to help publishers monetize their websites using high contextually-accurate ads. Adwords is the other side of the coin which allows any person to create an account with Google and bid on keywords or key phrases to have their ads appear in either the search results ad placements, or in content sites that display Adsense ads.
  • Over the past few months I've identified a group of authors, writers, and publishers that I call: "Adsense Authors."
  • My definition of an Adsense Author: Any author that uses article marketing as a strategy to drive traffic to their website in order to drive their adsense ad revenue sales.
  • These "Adsense Authors" really understand how to fully leverage article marketing as a strategy like no other group of authors.
Here are the commonly shared traits of these authors:
  1. Their articles are short, between 200-600 words.
  2. The quantity of articles they produce are typically from 25-300; around a tightly focused niche topic.
  3. The TITLE of their articles are very keyword rich: the first two, three, or four words are the most important in rank. You won't find these authors wasting the first 4 words of their title with non-keyword-rich words (such as "a" "how to" "top" "the" "of" etc).
  4. The BODY of their articles has high keyword density for the terms they are targeting.
  5. The KEYWORDS they use when submitting their articles are intelligently selected based on the overture or other keyword research tools; they are not haphazardly selected.
  6. They do not load up and bloat the guts of the BODY of their articles with links back to their sites; they know this slows down the acceptance of their articles for reprint by other publishers.
  7. Their articles are fun, fast, and easy to read. Often they will use bullets, numbered lists, and quick sub-heads to make the article easy to visually digest.
  8. Lastly, their RESOURCE BOX is brief with only one or two links in them: one link to their full website URL, and one anchored text link to a keyword of importance to their niche. They know that big, ego driven resource boxes slow down the viral nature of article marketing strategy.
Conclusion on Adsense Authoring

Adsense Authors have discovered the secrets behind fully unlocking the power of article marketing to drive enormous storms of organic traffic to their websites. They accomplish this with dozens to hundreds of tightly-focused niche articles, all reflecting high keyword value and research intelligence.

You won't find any 3,000+ word articles or ego driven article content from an Adsense Author. They have only one purpose in mind: To drive massive amounts of traffic to their Adsense-based business model using article marketing as a key strategy.

Even if your goal in life has nothing to do with Adsense, you can definitely learn from today's Adsense Authors on how to take Article Marketing to the next level of possibilities.

7 Ways To Radically Change Your Life

By T Young

We all have moments in our lives when we feel as though we are in a rut, where nothing seems to go to plan and we feel like not doing anything at all. Most often it's just due to the fact that we have gotten ourselves in the rut but haven't yet figured out how we are going to get ourselves out.

Here are 7 ways that you can radically get your life back on track.
  1. Change your image. Often changing your wardrobe can give you a radically different outlook on your life. We all know how our image can affect our perception of our selves and what we want to portray to the world. If you haven't changed or updated your wardrobe for quite some time then this is as good a time as any. Go to your wardrobe and throw out anything you haven't worn in a few seasons. You can't make room for the new unless you first create space. Now it's a matter of going on a shopping spree and spice up your wardrobe with new outfits. Give yourself permission to be bold and if possible take along a friend who you perceive as fashionable. Why not give yourself a new haircut and treat yourself to a facial. The results will surprise you and may even give you a new found lift in your day.
  2. Get out and travel. Traveling gives you an opportunity to see how other people live. You learn to appreciate other cultures and in turn may even give you a new sense of appreciation for what you have in your life. If at all possible you would want to take time off and just see the world. It needn't be expensive. Take an opportunity during your travel to pause and reflect as to where you are and where you want to go. You will be able to see your life from a totally new perspective.
  3. Get a new job. We spend quite literally a third of our waking lives at our place of employment. So if you aren't being inspired or you don't enjoy your workplace then you will want to make it a priority to look for another job. A new job can give you a new routine and a new environment may also give you an opportunity to break out of your rut. We all know how excited we are when we start something new and a new job can give you that feeling. It's not to say that every time you get into a rut you find a new job, but if you find that your job satisfaction levels are quite low and you feel it is due to your work environment then why not change it. After all life is too short to spend it in a place where you aren't growing.
  4. Take up a new hobby. If you are like many people, your daily routine would involve you coming home from a days work and plonking yourself down in front of the television so that you can unwind. We literally can waste away as much as five hours a day just watching mindless television. That's thirty five hours a week and not all that far away from the amount of hours you spend at work. Why waste that time in front of the TV set when you can instead spend that with your family or doing a hobby. Join a club or create activities where your family can go.
  5. Find new friends. Often we get caught in our familiarity, we spend time with the same friends because it's familiar, we follow the same route to work because it's familiar. Familiarity has it's place but if you are in a rut then it may be doing more to hold you back then helping you to progress. One way to create a new buzz in your life is to find new friends. They will be able to give you a new perspective on things and the enjoyment of building up a new relationship can be rewarding.
  6. Read inspiring books. Research has shown that many people after they complete their schooling never touch another book again. Yes, trashy magazines and fictional works don't really count. You want to read inspirational and motivational books that can really get you thinking about your life and where you want to go. There is a whole section in many bookstores on self help and many give you great suggestions on getting yourself out of a rut in your life. Why not look to others to give you answers then blindly hoping that the answer will one day hit you in the head.
  7. Volunteer for the homeless or a nursing home. Learn to appreciate your life and the importance of living. By spending time with people less fortunate or lonely you can not only bless their lives but they in turn may inspire you to make more out of your life. In the end everyone wins. Find a good charity near where you live and why not set aside a few hours a week. You can certainly find a few hours out of your week to help others in need.

Putting Adsense Code in New Blogger

Inserting Adsense code in New Blogger (previously called Blogger Beta) is a little bit confusing, because the facilities is different with Old Blogger. But after a hard searching in the internet and a time consuming trial and error, finally I succeeded putting the code as I wish.

I need to have my adsense in the post content automatically, as what I did in the classic Blogger template, where I can easily placing Google Adsense code anywhere by directly editing the HTML code of Blogger template. However, it is not easy for me to deal with HTML code of New Blogger template.

Just to share, here are the things you have to do if you want to display your adsense at the end of the post content:
  1. Prepare your adsense code in notepad
  2. Just do a little change to your adsense code. (Don't worry, this don't violate any of the Google TOS).

    The original code:

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--

PDF vs EXE: an eBook War

By Alex Ronald

Everyone creating an eBook would stumble upon the choice on whether to publish your eBook as a PDF or EXE. The differences between the two can be more than just the file extensions. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. So when should you select a specific format?

When you make a search for eBook creation software, you would generally find EXE eBook creation software on the top. Why is this so? Why not PDF? PDF has been on the market for a long time. But eBook creation was not just one thing it is used for. PDF is used by the Goverment and for many important document and manuscripts. PDF's features made many writers publish in that format.

EXE eBooks can be created using many eBook Creation software. These are available in various ranges, from $19 to $200. Many of them come with a brander, which enables your readers to brand your ebook to their name. The interface provided by the EXE eBooks look sleek. People find it easier to design web-page like eBook design and interactivity in HTML rather than a Word Processor.

There is a great misconception in the market that PDFs are very costly to create. We hear of the fact that Adobe's PDF creation tools are very costly, and hence is PDF creation. But we shouldn't ignore all the other alternatives available. Today, PDF creation products which provide similar features, are available for free. Most of the Word Processors have PDF exporting features incorporated in them.

Another misconception is that eBooks published in EXE format look more professional than PDF eBooks. This is certainly wrong. Nowadays, its the content that matters the most. PDFs looks and feels like real paper. A document can be made a lot more professional in a Word Processor using the various formatting tools available.

There was one problem with PDF though. It could not be as easily branded as EXE eBooks, which already came with a brander. But many solutions for rebranding PDFs have emerged in the market.

EXE eBooks can look difference in different computers, especially if people use various resolutions. This can be evident by seeing many Websites that look difference when seen in difference resolutions. PDFs look the same in all the computers, and one can easily print them.
My personal suggestion would be to go with PDF eBooks. They too have various security options. A quick Google search can lead you to many free PDF creation tools. PDFs can be read in Mac or in any Operating System where Adobe Reader or equivalent is installed. This also includes Operating Systems like Linux.

There is a possibility of EXE files getting corrupted or infected with virus. If a person having his PC infected by a virus downloads your eBook and passes it to his friends, there is a great chance that he is passing away an infected eBook. EXE eBooks carry an overhead. The "reader" part of an EXE eBook is around 200 to 300 Kb. Your content is compressed and added to it, which results in eBooks more than 300kb.

But if you don't want to speed huge amount of money on PDF branders and want to start a Viral Marketing campaign, i would certainly go with an EXE eBook compiler. The choice is yours.

10 Simple Tips For Attaining Wealth

By DeAnna Spencer

What with the millions of words printed every day about "How To Achieve Success," why aren't there more new millionaires.

Basically, it's simply because the people reading this "How-To" information don't understand what they read, or else just don't have the drive it takes to put what they've read into action. In truth, it would seem that everyone wants to "find out how to become rich," but the number of people with the drive it takes to "work a plan," is few and far between.

The Basics to Getting Rich can be stated simply as follows:
  1. You must control your investment. This is the key to building a fortune from small capital. You have to have the ability and knowledge to make the right moves at the right time, and above all, the innate talent it takes to always land on your feet and never be wiped out, regardless of the setbacks you may encounter.
  2. You must know how and where to buy for next to nothing - or produce a product from scratch - and sell at a tremendous profit. With this ability, you can start with $100 or less, and sell it to someone else for much more than you paid for it. Then do it again, and keep on doing it until you have enough money to make substantial investments in other area where your money will grow and prosper.
  3. You must buy things that appreciate in value. In other words, learn to buy things that will grow in value as time goes on. Things such as collectibles, land, precious metals and stones. Think of the multiplication factor: You pay $10 for a copyright, sell 500 copies and you're off to a small fortune.
  4. You've got to be choosy. Buy the original or pick a limited field. For instance, if you buy written material, buy form the author; or if you're into stamps or coins, work with just one country or type of coins/stamps.
  5. You must become an expert in your field of selling - know all there is to know about it. It takes time, effort, and energy, but the financial rewards are worth it.
  6. You must know how to work the tax shelters. In the confiscatory tax economy we operate in today, anyone attempting to make important money has to operate with every tax break he can get. There are many of them, and they can be applied in different ways. Make friends with a good tax accountant; he'll be able to give you many angles that you've probably never heard of. Be sure you take every advantage of capital gains, investment credits, take part of your rent or house payment as an office expense, as well as your car - get all you can. It's legal, and it's necessary if you're going to build your capital.
  7. You have to set goals and dedicate yourself to attaining those goals. In just about any buy/sell program, you can set a rate of say 20% net profit on each transaction, and work a five-time-a-year turnover. This will double your capital each year. Now the net profit means just that - what is yours after all expenses and taxes are paid - so you'll have to get about 35 to 40% markup on each cycle. If you've done your homework and are really an expert in your field, you'll often be able to make profits of 200% and more on a single transaction, because real buys will always show up for the person with cash in hand. If you set a goal such as this, and follow this system starting with $100, in 10-years you'll have over $50,000 in cash or it's equivalent.
  8. You have to learn to exercise patience. This is the greatest attribute of a good hunter. In your field you'll be looking for bargains that can quickly be resold for a substantial profit. You've got to learn the sources of the items you want to sell, how to spot the bargains, and then have the persistence to allow your investment to pay off for you.
  9. You have to learn what to do with your riches. When your capital has grown beyond the needs of your operation, put it to work. Get it into other investments that will produce more capital and even more income. Pyramiding your investments will bring you all the money you can use.
  10. You have to learn to keep your mouth shut! The man who has found a method of making money, who understands what it can mean, keeps his mouth shut about it. That's why it's so ridiculous to assume that anyone would sell you a sure thing gambling system for a couple of dollars. If it was a sure thing, he'd guard it with his life. The thing is, keep your mouth shut and you'll save yourself a lot of grief as well as competition.

Where Is Your Business Blog?

By Ellie McFadden

A blog is defined as a "type of website where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary). Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news." I agree with that definition but I also think blogs are involving into great business devices to inform and educate your customers.

Of course it's fitting for me, as a writer, to have a blog (or two) but you may feel you don't need one for your own line of work. I couldn't disagree with you more. I truly believe any type of business can benefit from using a blog.

A blog is an inexpensive (I use Blogger.com and there is no charge) tool to keep in touch with your customers. I think the challenging part for most business owners is figuring out what to write about and continually maintaining the blog, which is extremely important. If your customer clicks on your blog link and there hasn't been a post since last Christmas, they will click off right away. You want to keep them engaged.

So what do you write about in your blog? First of all, don't make your blog all about your business and full of ads. The key is to incorporate the products and/or services you offer with information that YOUR customer is seeking. The first step is to think about who is your customer and what concerns/interests do they have?

For example, you are a veterinarian. I'm a customer of a veterinarian and I want to know more about cat care. The vet could use case studies from real-life situations from the office and share that with their customers (via the blog). When a customer at the office asks them a question, for example "We are expecting our first child, what can we do to help make Smelly the Cat adjust to this new arrival?" Blog about it! I would love to hear about funny pet stories as well.

A blog is interactive as well. After you post your entry, your customer can leave a comment. Answer their question or comment as soon as you can. Keep that line of communication open.

The other challenge with blogging is maintaining it. Do you have enough time to write the posts and answer the comments? And does it matter? I think I have answered the second question. It does matter. It's a way to communicate with your customer and they can communicate right back. It's a way for your customer to get to know you and your business a little better.

If you personally don't have time to write your own blog entries, find someone who can write it for you. Remember your business blog is NOT about spilling out your personal feelings. It's about informing your target market of information, products and services you can provide. You are educating through the use of your blog. A business writer can help you generate ideas as well as write the entries and keep the blog updated. The writer does not necessary have to pretend they are you but simply provide content for your readers. And this content also helps with your website traffic. More traffic equals more customers.

10 Tips On Making More Time

By Mary Lennox

  1. Make sure everyone else does their share.

  2. Have chores shared out fairly.

  3. When others do chores, allow them to do so in their own way. Don't be tempted to do things again in your way.

  4. Prioritise

  5. Plan ahead. This can be useful in terms of shopping, batch cooking and freezing.

  6. Weigh up the personal benefits of putting some tasks out to tender, i.e. ironing, cleaning. It may be worth the money.

  7. Can you use the time when you are exercising to do some mental planning.

  8. Commuting time may be right for you to catch up on your reading, or doing some work related task you would otherwise do at home.

  9. Only watch television programmes that really interest you. It can be useful to code in what you want to watch and otherwise keep the box switched off. This will give you time to go for a walk, do gardening or even COMMUNICATE.

  10. De clutter and housework will be minimal. It will also take less time to find things you need. This can be applied to your wardrobe too so that you do not waste time on trying to decide what to wear. What is in your wardrobe should be ready to wear, be items you feel and look good in and not so abundant that you are spoiled for choice.

DO NOT CATCH THE WRONG BUS!!

Yup, do not catch the wrong bus home, or you'll be lost for 25 years, as reported by AFP.

A Thai mother who was lost for 25 years after catching the wrong bus home has spoken of her ordeal after being reunited with her family. Thanks to simple song.

The last time Jaeyaena Beuraheng saw her seven children was in 1982 when she left south Thailand on one of her regular shopping trips across the border to nearby Malaysia.

She never returned, and police later told her family that she had apparently been killed in a traffic accident.

In fact, Jaeyaena had simply taken the wrong bus home -- an error that would have been easy to fix except that she only speaks the local dialect of Malay known as Yawi, according to officials at the homeless shelter where the 76-year-old has lived for two decades.

"I didn't tell anybody where I was going on that day, because I went there quite often," she told AFP, crying as she spoke.

She was heading home from her shopping trip when she mistakenly hopped on a bus to Bangkok, some 1,150 kilometers (700 miles) north of her home in Narathiwat province.

In Bangkok, unable to read Thai and speaking a language few Thais can understand, she again took a wrong bus, this time to Chiang Mai, another 700 kilometers (430 miles) further north.

There she ended up as a beggar for five years, until she was sent to a homeless shelter in the central Thai province of Phitsanulok in 1987.

"I thought I would die in Phitsanulok. I thought about running away many times, but then I worried I would not be able to make it home. I really missed my children," Jaeyaena said.

Officials at the shelter told AFP that she was known as "Auntie Mon," because her speech sounded similar to the language of ethnic Mon living along the border with Myanmar.

But still no one could understand her, until last week when three health students from Narathiwat arrived on an exchange program to research the problem of homelessness at the shelter.

She sang a song for the visitors, one that the staff at the shelter had often heard but did not understand.

"She sang her same old song, one that nobody could understand until those three students from Narathiwat told us that she was sing in Yawi, a Malay dialect," the official said.

"So we asked them to talk to her and find out if she had relatives," official said.

Jaeyaena told the students that she had a Malaysian husband and seven children, recounting her entire story of the bus and how she had become lost in northern Thailand.

Her shocked family sent her youngest son and her eldest daughter to meet her and bring her home on Tuesday, the official said.

"She remembered all of her children's names. But at first she couldn't recognise her youngest son, but she recognised her eldest daughter," said the official, who was at their reunion.

Her children took her back to their family home in Dusongyo village, in a remote corner of Narathiwat, where her children and grandchildren were still hugging and kissing her two days after her return.

Post to Blogger by Email

Do you know you can post to your Blogger blog by simply sending email from your email client? I still wonder why this is not so popular among blogger. This is wonderful for me because it really saves my online time. I don't have to log into my Blogger account, submit password, editing my post online, and so on. Those are time consuming and and robbing my money at the same time.

By using email-posting facility, blogging has become more economical for me. I write and edit my post offline and just send it when everything is perfect. To send an email from my computer only needs 1 up to 3 minutes. That's all.

So, if you think this is new for you (sorry to hear that..:-), and you want to try this 'new way' of posting, you have to do a few simple steps to set it up first.
  1. Log into your Blogger account
  2. Click on "Settings"
  3. Click on "Email"
  4. In the "Blog Send Address" put the email address where you want the post to be sent after it is posted on your blog
  5. In the "Mail to Blogger address" put in a secret word in the box. This will be the email address you email to have its content posted on your blog.
Finished? So simple, wasn't it? From now on you can send your post from any email you have. What you don't have to change is your 'target' email. I mean, always send it to your "Mail to Blogger address" (it could be something like papa.mama@blogger.com).

Have a nice 'email-posting' and save your money!

What is Your Goal?

What do you want to achieve in your life? In other words, what is your goal? Oh boy, please don't say "I want to be rich" or "I want to be a lucky people". It's too broad, too wide, and too blur. Out of focus.

A goal has to be clear and focus. If the target is clear, it will be easier to shoot, isn't it? So, just make everything clear. Let's say your goal is to have a brand new car by the end of this year. Is it reasonable? Feasible? This is important because if we put our goal too high and we could not achieve, we will be dissapointed.

Okay, you have calculated your goal with your 'take-home-pay' money, means your net salary. Now all you have to do is divided your main goal into smaller goal, let's say monthly goal or weekly goal, or even daily goal. In this case, you have to decide how much money you have to save so that your main goal can be achieved without setting aside your basic needs.

Once again, test if it is feasible. Go on when you think there will be no problem with your financial plan. Stick to your plan to save, then be rady to welcome your brand new car by the end of this year.

That easy? Yes, theoretically. But, some people have problems with discipline or even with defining their goal. Including me :-)

Got any idea?
